Building a National Drug Observatory in Montenegro

This workshop in Montenegro was dedicated to National Drug Observatory (NDO) building and drug monitoring tools. There were representatives from different types of institutions, such as the Ministry of Health, Customs, the Institute of Public Health, the Ministry of Education, treatment centres, the prosecutor’s office and the EU Delegation. The participants were introduced to the work of the EMCDDA, including the collaboration with the network of Reitox national focal points.

A part of the meeting was also dedicated to population surveys, such as ESPAD on general population survey on drugs. The implementation of a further national representative surveys on drugs in Montenegro was discussed.
